it's raining on Diya's bum bum

You've gotten so much more expressive in the last few weeks. You talk in full sentences. You tell us you're angry and you're sad. You can tell when mumma and dadda are angry. And you say it out loud, "mumma angry". You tell us what to do very clearly! "Mumma sit down here", with a pat to the chair. 😂 And if mumma dares defy the order it changes to "mumma sit DOWN!!".

You love your family and learning about animals. So every night when I ask you which story do you want, you say, so and so animal. Then you expect a story about the mumma, dadda and Diya dinosaur for example. The story must feature the 3 people in our family or it gets rejected. 

I've been telling you the same story in hindi for the last few weeks. Because you were not picking up any hindi. Now you're finally starting to get it. Which also means you are starting to pick up mumma and dadda's conversations here and there. Which is not cool! 😅 So the story is about baby Diya <insert animal here> who asks mumma and dadda to go outside. And mumma, dadda say chalo. Then we go out and daddy closes the door. Then we go to the lift and mumma presses the button with her elbow. Then lift comes and the door opens, then we go inside and mumma presses the button 1 with her elbow. Then the door closes and lift goes downstairs. Lift doors open on 1 and we go outside. Then Diya says let's go over there! So mumma and dadda say chalo chalo. And Diya sings a song. Hindi version of "walking, walking...". "Chalo, chalo, chalo x2, koodo, koodo, koodo x2, ab bas ruk jao, x2, ruko, ruko, rukox2."

I'm so proud of making a hindi version of songs you already know! This story is so boring that it puts your day to sleep in approximately 30 seconds. Every. Single. Time. If he's in the room, he'll start snoring before the walking, walking song starts. 🤣

So back to the story, once we stop, Diya says "dadda look a river!" And dadda says "wow baby! What's inside the river?" So Diya says "Nadi ke andar machliyaan!" And then of course dadda asks "Kitni machliyan?" So Diya has to count them "Ek, do, ..., dus!" Then dadda says "Kaun se rang ki hai machli?" So Diya says the names of all the colours she knows in hindi. Which of course starts with naarangi (currently that's the only colour you're sure of the English translation for lol and the rest are hit and miss!). Then Diya sings the machli jal ki rani hai song. After which the whole family says bye to the fishes and they say bye back. 

Then we do the walking, walking song one more time. When we stop next, we spot and count a family of ducks with 1 mumma, 1 dadda and 5 baby ducks. I was so at a loss for what to call baby ducks so they're called chota babbu batakh! 😄 After this we do the hindi version of "5 little ducks went out one day"... "5 chote batakh pahad pe gaye aur wahan ja ke khoob maje kiye. Jab sham hui to ghar vapas aaye. Lekin sirf 4 batakh ghar vapas aayin!" And it similarly counts down to zero baby ducks coming home. After which mumma AND dadda batakh go looking for the babies unlike in the original rhyme where only mumma does. "Mumma dadda batakh bohot dukhi hue and wo bhi pahad pe gaye. Wahan ja ke bola quack, quack, quack aur saare 5 batakh vapas aa gaye!"
